Who we are and what this covers

BigSquare Marketing LLC ("BigSquare," "we," "us") is a marketing agency. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It covers www.bigsquaremarketing.com and the landing pages we run on it, including our /go/ and /apply/ pages. It does not cover the client portal or other sites we link to. Those have their own policies.

What we collect

We collect information in 3 ways.

What you give us. When you fill out a form, book a call, or request a resource, you may give us your name, email, phone number, company, website, location count, budget range, and your answers to free-text questions.

What we collect automatically. When you visit the site, we and our tools collect your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, campaign tags (UTM parameters) on the link you clicked, and your approximate location.

What we get from partners. Ad platforms and our CRM and marketing automation platform may send us information about how you found us and how our ads performed.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Reply to you and answer your questions.
• Run the audit or set up the call you asked for.
• Send marketing email and text messages you signed up for.
• Measure how our ads and our site perform.
• Improve the site.
• Protect against fraud and abuse.
• Meet our legal duties.

Cookies, analytics, and ads

We use cookies and similar tools. Some are ours (first party) and some are set by the companies below (third party). They work together: for example, an ad platform's cookie can tell us that a visitor who clicked an ad later filled out a form.

The tools on our site:

• Google Analytics 4, with Google's Advertising Features turned on. It measures how people use the site and helps us build ad audiences.
• Google Ads remarketing. It lets us show ads to people who visited our site.
• Meta Pixel. It measures our Meta ads and lets us show ads to people who visited our site.
• Vercel, which hosts the site and may log basic request data to run it.

You can opt out of targeted ads:

• Google: Google Ads Settings
• Meta: ad preferences in your Meta account
• Industry-wide: the NAI opt-out page
• Your browser: block or clear cookies in its settings

We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt out of targeted advertising cookies.

Text messages

If you check the text-message box on one of our forms, we may text you about your request and, if you agreed to it, about our services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to cancel. Reply HELP for help.

We do not share your mobile number or your text opt-in with any third party for their marketing.

When you check the box, we keep a record of the consent text you saw, the time you checked it, and the number you gave. We keep that record for 4 years.

Email

Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. We honor opt-outs within 10 business days. You cannot opt out of emails we have to send, like a reply to a request you made.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, except through the ad cookies described above, which you can opt out of.

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business:

• Our CRM and marketing automation platform
• Our hosting provider (Vercel)
• Email and text sending services
• Ad platforms (Google and Meta, as described above)
• Analytics tools
• The Obsidion client portal, for clients who use it

These providers can use your information only to do work for us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

How long we keep it

• Leads: 3 years after our last contact with you.
• Client and billing records: 7 years.
• Text-message consent records: 4 years.
• Analytics data: the retention period set in the tool.

We delete or de-identify information when we no longer need it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we have about you.
• Correct it.
• Delete it.
• Stop sending you marketing email or texts.
• Stop using it for targeted ads.

To ask, email support@bigsquaremarketing.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, usually by replying from the email address we have on file. We respond within 45 days. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will take a second look. We will never treat you worse for making a request.

Do not sell or share my personal information: we do not sell personal information. To opt out of the ad cookies that count as "sharing" in some states, use the opt-out links in the cookies section above or send us an email.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as state law requires.

Children

This site is for business use. It is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. We do not knowingly use targeted ads for anyone under 16. If we learn we have collected a child's information, we delete it.

Where the data lives

Our services are for businesses in the United States, and your information is stored there. We do not target people in the EU or the UK.

Links to other sites

The site links to other services, like the Obsidion client portal and our social profiles. Their privacy policies govern what happens there, not this one.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will post a notice on the site.
